Patient Transporter

Job Summary

Responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for patients within the healthcare facility. Facilitates the timely delivery of messages, documents, and supplies to various departments, ensuring effective communication and support throughout the organization. Essential Functions:

  • Escort patients to and from various locations within the healthcare facility.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during transportation.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures for patient transportation.
  • Receive and prioritize messages, documents, and supplies for delivery.
  • Deliver messages and documents to appropriate recipients.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Experience: Experience in a healthcare or customer service-related role. 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
